Shigorika and I worked together in the editorial department of FirstCity magazine a decade ago. She was a terrific colleague and a team player, a problem-solving workhorse who inspired ideas and collaboration - all signs of a good leader.
Over the years, I have found her to be a gifted writer and a thoughtful editor. She beautifully merges fashion and art in her nonfiction writing, grounding it in history and trends. I wish her all the best.

Shigorika is a fantastic colleague and a driven, empathetic manager. She always went a step further in her reporting on fashion, art and lifestyle, and their intersection with contemporary culture and politics, and brought nuance to every story she wrote. Besides her impeccable writing, strategy and trend forecasting skills, she is also a talented editor and has produced several editions of First City Magazine. It was an absolute delight to work with Shigorika, and I hope I get the opportunity to learn from her again.

Shigorika and I have collaborated very closely since 2017, professionally across multiple projects while at Amazon India and academically on research projects investigating the editorial dialogue in the fashion zeitgeist. What has struck me most about Shigorika is not only her obvious expertise of the fashion editorial functions but also how her command of words transfers skillfully between her writing and her ability to align various teams to a comprehensive vision; a mark of a true leader. A strong team player with deep integrity and ownership of her work, she ensures that her contributions meet the highest standards, delivering well within the deadlines, despite shifting business goalposts and various last-minute pivots.
When Shigorika joined the Amazon Fashion team, she introduced a structured content playbook to revamp the customer-facing site experience through a data-backed, fashion-forward approach and to make the customer journey trendier and more engaging. As the marketing lead for the Fashion Week, Designer Collaborations & Luxury Brands team, I was extremely fortunate to work with her as she understands how to balance business needs with creative direction. Shigorika owned the editorial aspects of the entire premium selection categories and directed the content calendar for the "Designer Boutique" e-store and the Amazon India Fashion Week e-commerce destination to ensure newness across refreshes on the pages, build repeat visitors, and improve share-of-voice for the categories. Her biggest contribution to the Designer Fashion team was developing a monthly e-magazine, "Boutique Bulletin", which she conceptualized and executed end-to-end including recruiting a team of shoot experts, overseeing shoot planning and styling, writing fashion editorials and providing design input to ensure a successful end product.
A critical asset to every team she joins, Shigorika is easily able to earn the trust of her peers and stakeholders through her work and affable persona. Her high EQ, strong work ethic, and friendly nature make her a delight to work with and I truly believe that onboarding her will be the best hiring decision any organization will make. I wish her all the best!

Shigorika is one of those very few creative talents who embrace commercial understanding of content, technology and yet is very true and authentic to her style. A passionate person, someone in corporate world who would not seek ladder driven projects but rather genuine good work. Her ability to blend business goals, overall project objective, and combine that with content strategy or editorial has been great especially for e-commerce, content commerce etc.
